“S&S were fast, efficient and very reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend them.”
About us
S&S Contracting is run by Ottawa-based students from Carleton University, Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa. We started S&S to help our neighbours with the jobs nobody wants to do — and to do them better than anyone expects.
Between classes, on weekends and all summer, we're out hauling, tearing out and clearing for homeowners, landlords and small businesses across the city. We're young, we're fast, and we care about our reputation in the community we live in.

FAQ
Yes. Send us photos through the form or by text and we'll give you a price at no cost and with no obligation.
Usually not — clear photos are enough for most jobs. For bigger demolition work we may ask to stop by first.
All of Ottawa and the surrounding areas, including Kanata, Orléans, Barrhaven, Nepean, Gloucester and Stittsville. Not sure if you're covered? Just ask.
Join our storm list: send us your address and 2–3 photos of your driveway (one from the street and one from the top looking out), plus your walkway and steps if you want them cleared. We'll confirm your price per visit. From then until spring, we come automatically every time 5 cm or more of snow falls, so you never have to call. We keep the list small so we can always get to you, so it's best to join before the first big storm.
We clear your driveway, including the plow pile the city leaves at the end of it. Overnight snow is cleared by 7 a.m. so you can get to work. A visit is $45 for a single driveway, $55 for a double, and from $65 for a triple or long driveway (we'll quote it from your photos). Walkway and front steps are +$15, salting is +$20 whenever you ask for it, and storms of 25 cm or more are +$20 because they take about three times the work. Taxes included, no hidden fees.
It depends on the weather, and that's the point: you only pay when it snows. Ottawa gets about 15 snowfalls of 5 cm or more in an average winter, so a single driveway usually comes to around $600–750 over the whole season, billed weekly. A mild winter costs you less, and you never pay anything up front.
Yes. There's no seasonal commitment. Text us if you'd like us to skip a snowfall, or if you want to leave the list, and that's it.
Yes, when we have room after our storm list customers. A one-time clear is $65 for a single driveway or $80 for a double. Text us your address and a photo.
Refer a neighbour who joins the storm list: give $15, get $15. You each get $15 off a visit.
Anything still usable gets donated when possible, recyclables get recycled, and the rest goes to the proper disposal sites.
Hazardous materials like chemicals, propane tanks and asbestos need special handling. Ask us and we'll point you in the right direction.
We accept Interac e-Transfer and cash. For one-time jobs, you pay once the job is done and you're happy with it. For the storm list, we send one e-Transfer request each Monday for the past week's visits, so bills stay small. No snow, no bill. Card payments are coming soon.
